SDSI provides a catered lunch option for all registered students. Any person age 5 or older that is not a registered student but would like to partake in the catered lunch must purchase an extra lunch card.
One card is good for one person to have lunch each day for five days.
This lunch card will be given at registration on Monday (the first day) and must be presented at dining time. It may be given to someone else (for example, mom takes student one day and eats lunch and then dad takes student the next day and wants lunch). This card may not be used for five people on one day.
A note about Congregation Beth Am's kosher observance:
The San Diego Suzuki Institute is held at Congregation Beth Am. Beth Am is a Jewish synagogue that keeps kosher and asks that all attendees follow these same guidelines.
Meat and dairy must be separated. In an effort to keep this as simple as possible, SDSI has one simple lunch rule:
All food that is brought from home MUST be vegetarian.
A catered kosher lunch with meat that is prepared by a kosher chef will be provided to all registered students that would prefer on-site food.
If neither of these options work for your family, there are a number of off-site lunch options that are within easy driving distance.
