For Students:

Volunteers Are Needed

Many hands make light work!  Work scholarships are available on a limited basis for parents interested in offering volunteer services.  Those who apply for a work scholarship will receive 10% off program tuition  in exchange for an assigned volunteer task.

These work scholarships are only available on supply and demand basis only!  This means that if all volunteer jobs are currently being taken care of we cannot offer further scholarship opportunities.

Please use the contact page to inquire about work scholarship opportunities.

Sibling Discount

A discount will automatically be added during checkout for multiple siblings.
Payment Plan
In recent years we have had to close registration early as we reached capacity. If setting up a payment plan is a step that will enable your family to register please contact us to save a place at SDSI by setting up a payment plan that will accommodate your family's needs.

Returning Student Elective Class Discount

We love our regulars!  To express our gratitude, all students who attended SDSI the previous year will receive a special coupon code for next year's sign up.  This coupon gives $35 off any elective classes your student chooses to sign up for.

Full Ride Student Scholarships

We are pleased to be able to offer three full ride student scholarships for the 2025 session.  Each scholarship will cover the cost of:
  • A basic program package and registration fee
  • One enrichment class of the student's choice
  • Catered lunch

Please use the contact page to inquire about full ride scholarship opportunities.  Scholarships will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.  All applicants will be asked to provide a copy of their free or reduced school lunch forms (or an equivalent document), a video of a performance, and a teacher recommendation in order to be eligible for review.

Barbara Schneiderman Memorial Scholarship for Piano Enrichment

Made possible by a grant from the San Diego Foundation.  The Barbara Schneiderman Memorial Scholarship covers partial tuition for piano students attending the San Diego Suzuki Institute.

Awards are open to piano students studying Suzuki music (piano only) in San Diego. Students do not need to be studying with a registered Suzuki teacher.  Scholarships are not available for private music lessons. This scholarship is for San Diego County residents only.  Please use the contact page to inquire about applying to this scholarship opportunity.
